95% of contributors to Schwartz's campaign were individual donors. According to Schwartz: "These results demonstrate the tremendous momentum out there among the grassroots along with the desire among Nassau County residents and New Yorkers to see a change of culture in Albany. More than ever, we need a State government effective enough to serve the best interest of our residents - one that can stand up against the destructive policies now being aimed at NYS by this hostile federal government."
