Location, location, location. Port grew because of the things
that were here: pasture for cattle, Long Island Sound and Manhasset Bay for fish, clams and lobsters, and pure, clean, sand for the cement needed to build skyscrapers. It became the town it is today because of where
it is: close to New York City.
